The Process
Fitting a dual battery system is all about understanding how your vehicle is used and what gear you need to run. Here’s how we make sure it’s done right:
Initial Setup Assessment
We take the time to understand your needs — from fridge run-time and solar input to inverter size and charge demands. We also check your alternator output and available mounting space.
System Design & Product Selection
We help you choose between lithium or AGM, under-bonnet or in-cabin, and recommend the right charger and monitoring system for your setup — all tailored to your budget and goals.
Battery Tray & Mount Installation
We securely mount the second battery in a suitable location (under-bonnet, canopy, tub or cab) using a rated battery tray and vibration-resistant hardware.
Wiring, Fusing & Charging Setup
All cabling is run neatly and safely using heavy-duty wiring, proper insulation, and fuse protection. DC-DC or smart isolator chargers are installed to ensure correct, efficient charging without damaging either battery.
Accessory Integration
We wire in power outlets, USB ports, fridges, lighting or other 12V gear, making sure everything is fused and neatly routed. Solar input can also be wired directly to the system.
Testing & Handover
Once everything’s in, we test system performance, run-time, and charge behaviour. You’ll receive a full walkthrough of how to monitor, charge and maintain your dual battery setup.
